Electrochemical Determination of Ebastine in Tablet Dosage Forms at Hanging Mercury Drop Electrode
نویسندگان
چکیده
The electrochemical behaviour of ebastine was studied at hanging mercury drop electrode using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. The molecule shows a single, well defined reduction peak due to the reduction of carbonyl group. The voltammetric conditions were optimized with respect to maximum peak signals. The linearity between the peak signal and the concentration of ebastine over the concentration range of 2.0 x 10 M – 1.0 x10 M was established .The detection and quantitation limits were found to be 0.48 x 10 M and 1.60 x 10 M respectively. The developed method was employed for the determination of ebastine in tablet dosage forms.

A simple, sensitive and highly selective electrochemical method was developed for the simultaneous determination of nitazoxanide and ofloxacin in aqueous media (Britton-Robinson buffer, pH-8.36) on a hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) using differential pulse polarography (DPP). Using DPP a separation of about 936 mV between the peak oxidation potentials of nitazoxanide and ofloxacin present...

The electrochemical behavior of thioctic acid at the hanging mercury drop electrode was studied in different supporting electrolytes. In Britton - Robinson buffer pH 3.29, the square - wave adsorptive anodic stripping voltammogram of thioctic acid exhibited a single well - defined anodic peak at about -0.21 V vs Ag/AgCl. The peak response was characterized with respect to pH, preconcentration t...
